The Hard Yards training experience is not your typical lecture and slide deck driven training experience. Our courses are a combination of experiential classroom exercises, group work, and simulations that keep the learner engaged throughout.
Our training approach is based on proven learning theory continuously refined to deliver both high impact and a fun learning environment.
We offer industry standard certifications and non-certified courses and workshops; these include the Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance, the SAFe Agile Product Management, along with Design Thinking and Agile for Executives.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
A Certified ScrumMaster® helps project teams properly use Scrum, increasing the likelihood of the project's overall success. CSMs understand Scrum values, practices, and applications and provide a level of knowledge and expertise above and beyond that of typical project managers. CSMs act as "servant leaders," helping the rest of the Scrum team work together and learn the Scrum framework. CSMs also protect the team from both internal and external distractions.
Certified SCRUM Product Owner (CSPO)
Certified Scrum Product Owner® professionals have been taught the Scrum terminology, practices, and principles that enable them to fulfill the role of Product Owner on a Scrum team. CSPOs are typically the individuals who are closest to the "business side" of the project. They are charged by the organization to "get the product out" and are expected to do the best possible job of satisfying all the stakeholders. Great Product Owners are critical to creating great products!
Design ThinkinG AND AGILE WORKSHOP
Design thinking is a human-centered approach to problem solving and strategic innovation. Design thinking is not a process so much as a mindset. It is a philosophy rooted in understanding the users’ perspective, which requires stepping away from your desk and observing and interacting with your users out in the field. This approach empowers you to uncover the root cause of problems, and to experiment with solutions that truly move the needle for your organization. This intense and interactive workshop will introduce you to the design thinking fundamentals while exploring how to apply the methods to your own projects.
Agile product management (APM)
The Agile Product and Solution Management course allows you to discover the right mindset, skills, and tools you need to create successful products and solutions using Agile techniques. Learn how to use Design Thinking to create products and solutions that are:

Agile For Executives
The wave of Agile adoption continues to grow in both the commercial and federal sector. Organizations of all types are experiencing the benefits of embracing agile. At the same time, the more broadly and deeply organizations transform, the more leadership support becomes critical for success. Agile transformations require all levels of the organization to be aligned and engaged in the change management. Executive leadership plays an incredibly important role. This one day course will give you the opportunity to learn more about the importance of leadership engagement in the agile transformation, and allow you to share your questions, concerns, and insights with your peers.
